Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)

 

The five-year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program develops students into adaptable, highly qualified future veterinarians. In addition to a fundamental research background, graduates of this program will be equipped with broad foundational and specialized knowledge, be confident in their well-practiced technical skills and have extensive clinical experience.

 

 

Curriculum

 

In addition to offering a diverse range of theoretical, intensive experimental and clinical courses, the program involves 8 weeks of field-work experience, 15 weeks clinical experience in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, and 15 weeks thesis research experience in an academic laboratory.

 

 

Research

 

Sophomore or junior students who wish to pursue a research-oriented career have the opportunity to conduct a research project in an academic laboratory through applying for either the Undergraduate Student Research Training Program or the Students Innovative Entrepreneurial Training Plan Program.
