2007年12月，恒天然在中国河北唐山汉沽兴建了第一个牧场。汉沽牧场作为恒天然中国牧场业务的试验基地，采用了世界级先进的牧场管理经验，实现了年产2000多万升原奶的成果，并极大地推动附近地区牛奶及总体乳业养殖的质量与效率的提高。目前，恒天然在河北唐山已经形成以唐山玉田县为中心的牧场群，包含5座大型牧场，奶牛存栏数超过25000头。恒天然在中国的第二个牧场群在山西应县，预计2015年年底前将相继有5个牧场建成。恒天然已经与雅培签署了共建第三个牧场群的协议。

In December 2007, Fonterra built the first farm in Hangu, Tangshan in Hebei province. As a pilot farm in China, Hangu farm utilised word-class farm management systems and realized annual milk production of 20 million litres, as well as enhancing quality and efficiency of dairy in the surrounding farming community. Today, Fonterra has established a farm hub in Yutian County that includes five large-scale farms with more than 25,000 milking cows. Fonterra is also building a second farm hub in Ying County, Shanxi province with a target of five farms to be completed by end of 2015. Fonterra has signed an agreement with Abbott to build the third farming hub.
